On Friday 22nd May, the Town Mayor attended a special cheque presentation in support of the Haywards Heath FoodBank, celebrating the generosity and community spirit of local residents.

On Sunday 24th May, Broadway LIVE made a welcome return to Haywards Heath, reviving a much-loved community event that had previously taken place annually in the town.

The Deputy Mayor of Haywards Heath, Cllr Abdul Bashar, attended the Mid Sussex Older People’s Council Dementia Event on Tuesday 19th May, where he delivered a short opening speech to welcome attendees and officially introduce the day’s programme.

Saturday 9th May marked a truly special milestone for the beloved Beech Hurst Miniature Railway, as the community came together to celebrate its 75th anniversary in style. With bright sunshine overhead and a lively atmosphere throughout the park, the day felt like a perfect tribute to decades of cherished memories.

On Tuesday 28th April, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Haywards Heath were pleased to attend the official opening of the new extension at Oakwood Court care home, operated by Sussex Housing & Care.

On Monday 27th April, Cllr Abdul Bashar, the Deputy Mayor of Haywards Heath attended the Mid Sussex Dementia Forum meeting, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Society.

On Friday 17 April, the Mayor of Haywards Heath, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, was delighted to attend a cheese and wine evening hosted by Ashton House Nursing Home.

On Thursday 16 April, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, the Mayor of Haywards Heath, was pleased to host a special lunch reception at the Town Hall for visiting students from our twin town of Traunstein. The event was organised by the Haywards Heath Twinning Association, in collaboration with Oathall Community College, as part of the continuing partnership between the two towns.

On Sunday 12 April, the Mayor of Haywards Heath attended a remarkable concert performed by the Ardingly Choral Society, held in the stunning surroundings of Ardingly College.

The spirit of community and determination was on full display in the early hours of Friday morning, as the Mayor of Haywards Heath attended the much-anticipated Swimathon hosted by Kangaroos.

On Friday, 27th March, the local community came together to celebrate a significant milestone with the grand opening of Woodlands Meed College. The special event marked the completion of the college’s new facilities and offered a warm invitation for the community to come and explore all that the site has to offer.

The spirit of spring was in full bloom on Saturday 28th March, as the Haywards Heath Horticultural Society hosted its much-anticipated Spring Show at the Centenary Hall.

Creativity was in full bloom as the New Friends of Scrase Valley Orchards invited local primary school children to take part in an exciting logo design competition.

On Wednesday 25 March, our Town Mayor paid a special visit to the Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, gaining a first-hand look at the incredible work the charity does to support animals and the local community.

On Friday 13th March, the Redwood Centre was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit as the Town Mayor, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, hosted 'The Big Quiz', organised by one of the local Girlguiding groups.

On Friday 6th March, the Town Mayor of Haywards Heath, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, attended the official opening ceremony of Barn Cottage, celebrating an important new space for the local scouting community and Bentswood Hub.

Haywards Heath took an exciting step towards a greener future on Saturday 28th February, as residents gathered for the town’s very first Eco Fair, held from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The event brought together local people, community groups and sustainability champions for a lively and inspiring morning focused on practical climate action and environmental awareness.

On the evening of Friday 20th February, Cuckfield Museum welcomed its valued patrons and distinguished guests to a special gathering held within the historic surroundings of Cuckfield’s Council Chamber and the Museum at the Queen’s Hall.

There was a real buzz on Friday 30 January as Raystede Animal Welfare officially opened the doors of its brand-new charity shop on South Road, Haywards Heath.

The Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity has reached a significant milestone, celebrating 25 years of supporting children with cerebral palsy and motor learning impairments across the South East.
