The event brought together people with a shared commitment to supporting the local community. Susan, the Debt Centre Manager, Julie from Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and Dan, Pastor at Haywards Heath Baptist Church, spoke about establishing the centre and the debt help service CAP provides.

Christians Against Poverty offers support to people facing financial difficulties, helping them navigate challenging circumstances and work towards a more secure financial future. The new centre will provide an additional source of support for people in Haywards Heath who may be struggling with debt.

Following the presentations, guests enjoyed lunch kindly sponsored by Haywards Heath Town Council. The gathering provided an opportunity for attendees to connect, share their experiences and explore how local organisations can work together to support residents.

Cllr Duncan Pascoe, the Town Mayor, was pleased to join everyone in celebrating the launch and recognising the importance of accessible support for people facing financial challenges. The enthusiasm in the room reflected the strong community spirit in Haywards Heath and the shared commitment to helping local residents when they need it most.
