LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND AT CHRISTMAS

Haywards Heath Town Council is delighted to continue its Leave No One Behind at Christmas campaign.

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those who are elderly, vulnerable or facing the festive season alone. With the ongoing pressures of the cost-of-living crisis, we believe it is more important than ever to come together as a community and make sure no one is left behind.

​

Through the campaign, we aim to support people across Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas by sharing information about local organisations and services that can offer help and support over the Christmas period, while also providing gifts to those who may otherwise be celebrating Christmas alone.

The impact of this support can be seen through the experience of a local volunteer Christmas Day Lunch team, who opened their hall to welcome people who would otherwise have spent Christmas Day alone:

"We wanted to say a massive thank you for the hamper gifts. Our guests were over the moon and so excited to receive a gift as they left the lunch. It really topped off their day. We have received thank you messages from some guests following the event and all of them say that receiving the box was a really big surprise and what a lot of lovely things there were inside."

How you can help

Leave No One Behind at Christmas is a community campaign, and you can get involved by donating items to help us provide gifts and support to local people this Christmas. We will be sharing more information about what you can donate later in the year.
