The task at Beech Hurst Gardens will be general park gardening jobs. Please wear clothes suitable for outdoor working and sturdy shoes.

Highlights will include Magnolias, Cornus kousas and Paulownia tomentosa.

Highlights will include the Persian Silk tree, Catalpas and the Dawn Redwood.

Highlights will include the Arboretum, Handkerchief trees and the delightful fragrance of the Katsura trees.

You'll see many of our Champion Trees and learn about the influence that the Messel family had on the gardens, whilst having the opportunity to ask our experts your questions.

Please check in at Visitor Reception on arrival. The tour will start outside at the Hub.

Please wear suitable footwear as the tour may leave the paths. The tour takes place outdoors so please wear appropriate clothing for a 90-minute walk. This tour goes up and down steps and slopes.

Dogs are not permitted, apart from assistance dogs.

Join the Glendale Rangers for a free, gentle Level 1 Healthy Walk around Beech Hurst Gardens beginning and ending outside Age UK Lamb House in nearby Kleinwort Close.

The walk will be led by Glendale staff and take approximately 30 mins, all on paved paths and with no steps or stiles.

A seven week, face-to-face, local community course supporting people recovering from separation or divorce. 'Restored Lives' explores the legal, financial, practical and emotional challenges that follow relationship breakdown. Confidential, non-judgemental and led by local people with first-hand experience of relationship breakdown. The small group course costs £55 and includes a two-course meal each Monday evening, a workbook, companion book. Weekly from 12 October - 23 November. Kidenza are back!

Kidenza have been coming to Chailey for several years, and are a huge hit with the children, young people, families and carers! This year we are opening up the Kidenza concerts to everyone: whether you've been to Chailey before or this is your first time, we think you'll love it.

Each ticket gets you a two hour slot onsite at Chailey Heritage Foundation. In this time you'll enjoy a wonderful Kidenza concert, as well as other interactive musical workshops around the site.
Kidenza specialise in fully accessible and immersive concerts. Fast moving programmes with fun and educational snippets make this an unforgettable experience for the whole family. World class music for EVERYONE!

Kidenza concerts are specially designed for children and young people of all abilities. Families are encouraged to relax and enjoy the music without the pressures that can sometimes come with traditional performances. Children can move amongst the orchestra, experience the vibrations through resonance boards, and engage with musicians in a relaxed and welcoming environment. These concerts are interactive, sensory-friendly and joyful — creating a wonderful experience for the whole family, for just £5 a ticket (three timeslots throughout the day):

Please join us for Remembrance Sunday on Sunday 8th November at the War Memorial, Muster Green. Come together with councillors, veterans, community organisations and residents to honour those who gave their lives in service to our country. The service begins shortly before 11am, leading into the Two Minutes’ Silence. Please arrive in good time. The parade will march to Boltro Road, with the salute taken at the Town Hall. For those unable to make it, the service will also be live streamed on the Haywards Heath Town Council’s Facebook page from 10.55am. Let us pause, remember, and give thanks.
