Join us for a gentle 3-mile, 2-hour walk through Nymans' woodland, lakes and streams - a perfect way to explore nature and meet new people. Meet at Reception.

Booking essential. Call 0344 249 1895. This event is free. Normal admission applies if you are visiting the café, house or garden after your walk.

Wednesdays 28 January, 18 February, 25 march, 29 April, 27 May and 24 June 2026, 11am to 1pm

This 3-mile walk is designed to be gentle and enjoyable, giving you the chance to meet new people, explore beautiful places, and build confidence walking in the countryside. You'll be guided along well-loved routes through woodland, streams, and lake views, walking as part of a group where you'll feel safe, supported, and never left behind. The walk ends back at Nymans reception.

This event is not suitable for children.

Please wear footwear and clothing suitable for the weather and terrain. The woods can be muddy and slippery in wet weather. The track is uneven and there are some steeper climbs, there are some steps, but the walk can be adapted to avoid them, if needed.

Join one of our expert volunteer Tree Guides for a 90-minute tour showcasing the magnificence of the trees at Nymans throughout the seasons.

Booking essential. Call 0344 249 1895. Normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Guided Tree Tour – Spring, £10
Wednesday 18 March, Thursday 2 & Friday 17 April, Monday 4 & Tuesday 19 May.
Highlights will include Magnolias, Cornus kousas and Paulownia tomentosa.

Guided Tree Tour – Summer, £10
Wednesday 3 & Thursday 18 June, Friday 3 & Monday 20 July, Tuesday 4 & Wednesday 19 August.
Highlights will include the Persian Silk tree, Catalpas and the Dawn Redwood.

Guided Tree Tour – Autumn, £10
Thursday 17 September, Friday 2 & Mon 19 October, Tuesday 3 & Wednesday 18 November.
Highlights will include the Arboretum, Handkerchief trees and the delightful fragrance of the Katsura trees.

You'll see many of our Champion Trees and learn about the influence that the Messel family had on the gardens, whilst having the opportunity to ask our experts your questions.

Please check in at Visitor Reception on arrival. The tour will start outside at the Hub.

Please wear suitable footwear as the tour may leave the paths. The tour takes place outdoors so please wear appropriate clothing for a 90-minute walk. This tour goes up and down steps and slopes.

Dogs are not permitted, apart from assistance dogs.

Peter Prowse will talk in French about his experiences cycling the Canal du Midi, with photos and songs. All welcome, free to MSFBS members, £5 for visitors.

MSDC Play Day is a free event - no need to book - it is for families with children under 10 yrs but all ages welcome. Just turn up and enjoy the fun

Extracts from A.A. Milne's much-loved Winnie-the Pooh stories are paired with E.H. Shepard's iconic illustrations in a fun, family friendly garden trail together with a gallery exhibition that spotlights some of Pooh's best-known adventures.

Booking not needed. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
Saturday 14 February to Sunday 28 June 10am to 5pm

The exhibition closes on Sunday 31 May and just the trail will run throughout June. The Winnie the Pooh trail will not run during the Easter holidays when we offer our SpringFest Easter trail. In 2026 that's between Monday 16 March and Friday 17 April.

Haywards Heath Eco Fair at HHBC

Come along to speak with others helping our community on their sustainability journey.

Learn about heat pumps, home solar, e-bikes, electric vehicles, seed swaps repair cafes and plenty more from people using these innovations in Haywards Heath and the surrounding area.

Organizations attending include:
WSCC Waste Prevention and Recycling Team, Fill Good, Fairer World Lindfield, Haywards Heath Horticultural Society, Lost Woods, Friends of Ashenground, RSPB, Community Energy Pathways, People/Planet/Pint, and many more.

The morning will also include short featured talks.

A fresh and entertaining
take on the traditional game
Music Bingo is a fresh and entertaining twist on the traditional bingo game, combining the excitement of music with the familiar format of bingo. Instead of calling out numbers, the game host plays snippets of songs, and players mark off the corresponding song titles on their bingo cards. This blend of music trivia and bingo offers a fun, interactive experience that’s perfect for all ages and skill levels.

Our public event starts Sunday 1st March 2026, at Francisco Lounge in Haywards Heath on the first Sunday of each month.

In support of the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity, a silent art auction will take place in Haywards Heath this March. The fundraiser celebrates local creativity while raising vital funds to support children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments. A diverse selection of artwork has been generously donated by talented local artists, featuring a range of styles and mediums. Whether for your home, office, or as a Mother’s Day gift, there is something for everyone. All pieces can be viewed in The Orchards Shopping Centre, with online bidding from 2–11 March.
