Christmas Tree Recycling
09:00 - 16:00
4 January 2026
West Sussex
Support children with motor learning impairments, this Christmas. On 4, 5 and 6 January 2026, a team of volunteers from Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity will be collecting Christmas trees across Sussex.
You can book online, by email at fundraising@dvlcc.org.uk or by calling us on 01444 472374.
The suggested donation is £20, but we kindly ask that you donate whatever you can so that we can support even more children in 2026.
Once you’ve booked your collection, please place your tree clearly outside your door or garden gate by the morning of Saturday 4 January and our friendly team will collect it- there is no need to be at home to wait.
We please ask that all decorations and bases are removed before collection – we cannot accept trees with these still attached.
Trees will then be recycled into mulch and wood chippings, helping the environment while helping children hit milestones that were once thought impossible.
We are collecting from the following postcodes:
RH6, RH7, RH10, RH11, RH12, RH13, RH15, RH16, RH17, RH18, RH19, BN6, BN7, BN8, BN44, BN45, TN6, TN7, TN8, TN20, TN21, TN22
Please note that the last day of bookings is Friday 2 January 2026.

Our community includes Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lewes, Uckfield and everywhere in between. We support people to live and die well, according to what matters most to them, with the best possible care, in the right place at the right time. Our workforce is committed to excellence in all they do.
We will be collecting real Christmas trees on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of January 2026. The trees will then be locally chipped and recycled. If you would like your tree collected, please visit https://justhelping.org.uk to book and donate. Registration will close on Monday the 5th January 2026 at 23:59.

We’ll use each other, our surroundings and a variety of objects that I bring along as our subject matter.

Agatha Appleton and the Peril of the Pyramids
19.00 - 22.00
30 January 2026
The Queen's Hall, High Street, Cuckfield
It’s the early 1930s and librarian Agatha Appleton finds herself embroiled in a hilarious Egyptian adventure that will test her courage, her wits, and her heart. Can our hero outsmart her enemies and uncover the mysteries of the ancient world? Or will she fall victim to the deadly traps and curses that guard the Mummy’s tomb? From the team that gave you ‘Around The World in 80 Days’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes and The Music Hall Mystery’ comes a good old-fashioned slice of Archaeological adventure heavily laced with our trademark silliness.
