The Town Council is currently recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative.

Inspiring individuals and organisations from across Haywards Heath were recognised at the Community Awards Ceremony this weekend, held on Sunday 22 March 2026 at the Town Hall.

Haywards Heath Town Council has set its budget for 2026–27, putting community priorities at the heart of its plans for the year ahead. The Council’s total expenditure is expected to be £1,008,000, an increase of £85,656 on last year. To fund this, the annual contribution for an average Band D household will be £79.12, which works out at just £1.52 per week- an increase of 12p a week.

The Haywards Heath Mayor’s Charity Silent Art Auction has successfully concluded, raising £578 for the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity, thanks to the generosity of local residents and the support of talented local artists.

Haywards Heath Town Council is proud to launch Business Boosts, a new initiative designed to celebrate and promote the town’s vibrant local business community.
As part of the programme, a different local business will be featured on their social media every Thursday throughout 2026, giving businesses a free opportunity to showcase what they do and connect with residents across the town.

Haywards Heath is set to be transformed into a vibrant art trail this March as a silent auction in support of the Mayor’s Charity of the Year, the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity, brings colour, creativity and community spirit to The Orchards Shopping Centre.
