Mayor Attends Ashton House Nursing Home Summer BBQ

On Friday 7th August 2026, the Mayor of Haywards Heath attended the Ashton House Nursing Home Summer BBQ, joining residents, their families, staff and volunteers for an enjoyable afternoon in the garden.
The annual Garden Party provided a wonderful opportunity for residents and guests to come together to enjoy good food, live entertainment and each other's company in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Blessed with fine summer weather, the event created a cheerful atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
The Mayor, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, was delighted to spend time with residents and their families, chatting with guests and recognising the dedication of the staff who work hard to provide a caring and supportive environment throughout the year.
He also presented Staff Awards to 11 wonderful members of the team, recognising their dedication, compassion, hard work and the difference they make every single day.
Events such as the Summer BBQ play an important role in bringing people together, helping residents stay connected with family, friends and the wider community while creating lasting memories.
The Mayor thanked everyone at Ashton House Nursing Home for their warm welcome and congratulated the organisers on hosting such a successful and enjoyable afternoon for all who attended.
