Mayor Opens Broadway LIVE

On Sunday 24th May, Broadway LIVE made a welcome return to Haywards Heath, reviving a much-loved community event that had previously taken place annually in the town.
This year’s event was held in commemoration of its former organiser, Tim French, who sadly passed away earlier this year. The day served as a fitting tribute to his dedication and contribution to the local community.
Cllr Duncan Pascoe, Mayor of Haywards Heath, was excited to officially open the event, welcoming hundreds of people to the Broadway for a day of entertainment, community spirit and fundraising. In his opening remarks, he highlighted the importance of bringing another fun annual event to Haywards Heath, supporting local Broadway businesses, and raising vital funds for St Peter & St James Hospice. He also thanked everyone involved for working together to make the event possible and for supporting such an important local cause.
Blessed with perfect weather, attendees enjoyed a fantastic programme of entertainment featuring performances from a variety of talented local groups throughout the day. The celebrations concluded with an energetic performance from tribute band Mainly Madness, bringing the event to a memorable close.
