Held in Lindfield, the fair featured a wide range of pop-up stands and workshops aimed at raising awareness of climate and sustainability topics in an engaging and accessible way. Children were encouraged to explore the activities that interested them most, allowing them to learn through creativity, play and hands-on experiences.

Activities included eco-themed arts and crafts, crochet and sewing workshops, a clothes swap, a game of Dungeons & Dragons, a nature photography competition, and a smoothie-making bicycle where participants could pedal their way to a freshly blended banana smoothie. Visitors could also learn practical ways to support wildlife, including how to create a pond in their own garden.

Alongside the children's activities, the event offered advice and guidance for parents and carers on how to discuss climate issues with young people in a positive and constructive way.

Cllr Abdul Bashar, the Deputy Mayor of Haywards Heath, enjoyed meeting organisers, volunteers and families throughout the morning and praised the event for encouraging environmental awareness in an engaging and inclusive setting. By combining education with creativity and fun, the Eco Fair provided valuable opportunities for children and adults alike to explore ways of making a positive difference for the future.

The Deputy Mayor thanked Fairer World Lindfield and all those involved in organising the event for their dedication to inspiring the next generation to think about sustainability and caring for the environment.
