On Sunday, 21 December, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, Town Mayor of Haywards Heath, attended a Christmas special Re-Engage Tea Party in Lindfield, supporting older people in the community who might otherwise feel isolated during the festive season.

Re-Engage organises free monthly tea parties that bring generations together, offering friendship, regular chats, and companionship to isolated older people. These gatherings provide a vital link to the outside world, helping participants stay connected and engaged.
The tea party was a heartwarming celebration of community spirit, fostering connections across generations and spreading festive cheer to those who need it most. The Mayor greatly enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with the volunteers and attendees, building new friendships within the community.
