Mayor Attends Haywards Heath Community Networking Event

On Thursday 9th July 2025, the Mayor of Haywards Heath attended the Haywards Heath Community Networking event, bringing together local community groups, charities, funders and organisations to share ideas, build relationships and explore opportunities to work together.

Held at No. 34 America Lane in Bentswood, the informal "coffee and chat" event provided a welcoming space for attendees to connect with one another, exchange experiences and discover new ways to collaborate in support of the local community.

Cllr Duncan Pascoe, the Mayor of Haywards Heath, joined representatives from a wide range of organisations, including local charities, community groups and funding bodies such as the Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust, The Co-op, Children in Need, Mid Sussex District Council, Yapp Charitable Trust and Sussex Community Foundation. The event also offered attendees the opportunity to meet the Community People team and access free 10-minute Wellbeing MOTs provided by Mid Sussex Wellbeing.

The Mayor welcomed the opportunity to meet so many people who are dedicated to supporting Haywards Heath and the surrounding area. He praised the event for creating valuable connections between organisations and funders, recognising that collaboration is key to strengthening communities and helping local projects thrive.

Networking events such as this play an important role in bringing together those who are passionate about making a positive difference. By encouraging partnerships, sharing knowledge and highlighting available support, the event helped to strengthen the network of organisations working to improve the wellbeing of local residents.

The Mayor thanked the organisers, Community People, and everyone who attended for making the event such a success and for their continued commitment to supporting the Haywards Heath community.
