Haywards Heath Town Council announces 2023 event schedule

We're thrilled to announce our events schedule for 2023.


Sunday 30th- In partnership with Mid Sussex Marathon.

Sunday 30th (9am-1pm)- Haywards Heath Gets Active!

Join members of Active Haywards Heath for a fun filled, free morning in Victoria Park. Members of Active Haywards Heath will be showcasing their sports and activities. It’s the perfect opportunity to try something new. Chat to the organisers of different fitness, sports and exercise groups and classes to find the perfect activity for you. There will be something for the whole family to enjoy!


Sunday 7th May (12pm-5pm)- Join us for an afternoon of Coronation Celebrations. The afternoon will start with a ‘Royal Procession’, with groups and organisations parading in their finest royal outfit, from the Town Hall to Victoria Park. This will be followed by an afternoon of fun in the park- more details to follow.

Sunday 14th May- Haywards Heath Bike Ride (In partnership event)

Haywards Heath Bike Ride returns for its 10th year!

Four great routes through the Mid Sussex country side make this a fantastic cycling opportunity. Starting with the Sergison at 12.5 miles or the longer, but leisurely, 21 mile Cavalier, the Greater Haywards Heath Ride mixes family fun routes with longer and tougher challenges. The gold standard is set by Wiggins Way, a 73 mile route for the hardened cyclist, but also on offer is a halfway house, the Highwayman, clocking in at a mere 48 miles.


Sunday 11th June (1.30pm-4.00pm) - Spring into Summer

We are delighted to introduce ‘Spring into Summer’ as part of this year’s event schedule. We will be celebrating the start of the summer season. The event will feature charity stalls, fairground rides, performances and so much more! This event usually runs in May as Haywards Heath Spring Festival.


Saturday 9th September (12pm-9pm) - Haywards Heath Town Day

Plans are underway for our annual Town Day- so save the date, don’t miss out on a fun filled, family event for the community!

There will be plenty of business, charity and food stalls as well as lots of other activities and entertainment. Sit down and relax, or let your hair down and dance as the day turns to an evening of music.

Join us on Saturday 9th September at an exciting event for all!


Sunday 12th November (10.45am start)- Remembrance Sunday Service

The Town Council will once again be organising the Remembrance Sunday Service for Haywards Heath at the War Memorial on Muster Green. The service will commence at 10.45am to observe the 2 minutes silence at 11.00am. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Saturday 25th November (6pm start)- Christmas Fireworks

Save the date for our Christmas Fireworks Display, taking place after the Haywards Heath Christmas light switch on!

May we please remind pet owners, to take care of their pets during our Christmas Firework Display. The RSPCA publishes guidance on taking care of pets during these displays, so please visit their site for guidance.
