Mayor has fun with the Storm Troopers as she open’s the Orchard’s Transforming Tomorrow event and thanks them and the community for all the fantastic fundraising they do!

Haywards Heath Town Mayor, Cllr Stephanie Inglesfield, was delighted to open the Transforming Tomorrow fundraising event from the Orchards, which this year raised funds for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance

Town Mayor, Cllr Stephanie Inglesfield commented:

This is a fantastic annual event put on by the Orchards, with lots of fun family entertainment for shoppers and visitors who dig deep into their pockets to raise funds for local causes. It was so much fun opening the event and meeting the amazing storm troopers from the UK Garrison who really went down a treat with everyone popping into the centre.

The entertainers kept the fun atmosphere going throughout the day and there was a range of free fun activities to take part in. I was truly delighted to be part of this event which raised almost £3,000 for our brilliant local Air Ambulance.”

Nicola Bird, Orchards Centre Manager, adds:

"Transforming Tomorrow, the Orchards fundraiser returned for an eighth year on Saturday 3rd June. It was enormously fun with so many games for the family, but the true heroes of the day were our incredible performers. From Alegria Spanish Dancing to Rebecca and her breathtaking Show Dancers, they all performed spectacularly. All of the performers so generously gave up their time to help us raise funds for charity. Our grateful thanks also go to our fabulous new Mayor, Stephanie Inglesfield. Thanks to our generous community, we raised £2,878 for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance."

The event was run by the fantastic compere Tobias and also included the Haywards Heath Concert Band, the Sussex Showgirls, the Sussex Harmonisers and Rock Choir.
