Growing Together: Haywards Heath Launches 2026 Best Kept Garden Competition

Following another successful year, the Town Council and the Haywards Heath IN BLOOM Committee are pleased to launch the 2026 Best Kept Garden Competition, inviting the whole community to take part.
This year’s competition features four categories:
• Front garden / balcony
• Communal garden
• Business frontage
• Allotment
Whether it’s a vibrant display at your doorstep, a shared green haven, a flourishing vegetable plot, or a business proud of its floral appeal, the competition welcomes entries from all corners of the community. Participants can also nominate a neighbour or local business whose garden they admire.

Haywards Heath Mayor's Quiz Night raises more than £1,000 for Alzheimer's Society

The Haywards Heath community came together for a memorable Quiz Night on Friday, April 11th, raising significant funds for the Alzheimer's Society. The event, held at the Town Hall from 6:30pm, was a resounding success, thanks to the generous support of local sponsors, donors, and participants, allowing the quiz night to raise over £1,000 of much needed funds.

HAYWARDS HEATH BENTSWOOD AND HEATH EAST WARD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT TWO casual vacancies exist in the Office of Councillors for Haywards Heath
Town Council – Haywards Heath Bentswood and Heath East Ward.
By-elections to fill the vacancies will be held if, within 14 days (excluding
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) TEN electors of the electoral
area give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Proper Officer.
The Proper Officer is: Kathryn Hall, Returning Officer, Mid Sussex District Council, Oaklands,
Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 1SS

On Saturday, 29th March, the Haywards Heath community gathered at St Wilfrid's Parish Church for the Mayor's Civic Service, a heartfelt event conducted by FR Edward Pritchett. The service was a special occasion to express gratitude to the community for their unwavering support and contributions.
