CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

Join us on Saturday 22nd November, from 12:00pm to 4:30pm, as Haywards Heath celebrates the start of the festive season with the annual Christmas Festival and Light Switch On.
Visitors can look forward to a festive Christmas Market spread across various Town Centre locations, with a wide selection of seasonal stalls, delicious food, and delightful gifts. Throughout the afternoon, there will be entertainment and activities for all ages.
Come and join us as we celebrate the season and make Haywards Heath shine bright this Christmas.
BEST DRESSED WINDOW COMPETITION
Haywards Heath Town Council is looking to bring a touch of festive cheer across the town centre by encouraging businesses to enter its ‘Best Dressed Window Competition’.
The Town Council are hoping that retail and non-retail businesses alike will join the celebrations for Christmas Festival by dressing their windows. Last year’s competition saw over 2000 votes for the Town’s favourite windows. The theme for all windows, is... Christmas!!!
The competition will open on FRIDAY 21ST NOVEMBER running for two weeks, closing FRIDAY 5TH DECEMBER, with prizes sponsored by Mid Sussex District Council. During this time, members of the public will be asked to vote for their favourite window for both retail and non-retail businesses, across the town via a QR code that will be on display in your window. The QR code will be provided to you in due course, but the link will not be active until 8am on Friday 21st November.
Entry to the competition is free, please register by completing the entry form below by 17th November. Any problems, please email eventsandcommunity@haywardsheath.gov.uk
Once we have a list of windows, we will publish where they can be seen (via our website and social media platforms) so everyone can enjoy your efforts.
Voting will open on FRIDAY 21ST NOVEMBER and will close at 5PM on FRIDAY 5TH DECEMBER. Votes will be able to be cast both online and over the phone.
The winners for each category will be presented with an engraved plaque, with the runners up receiving a framed certificate to display, hopefully in their winning windows! The winners will be announced on MONDAY 7TH DECEMBER, with the winning plaques being awarded by the Town Mayor after this time.
CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION
Haywards Heath Town Council, alongside Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity, are holding a competition for Primary School aged children to design the Mayor’s Offical Chirstmas Card for 2025. The winning design will be printed onto cards to fundraise for the charity, with a prize for the winner.
Entries must be on the official entry form obtained on the Haywards Heath Town Council website. They must be coloured in pencil, pen or paint, no glitter. The designs will be judged by the Town Mayor, and CEO of Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity.
