Four Haywards Heath Mayors unite as The Yews Community Centre celebrates its 10th Anniversary!

Town Mayor, Cllr Howard Mundin was delighted to attend the 10th Anniversary Celebrations for the Yews Community Centre and Charity.

Cllr Mundin comments:

This valuable community resource is home to so many of our local charities, businesses and community groups and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate this anniversary with them and to hear about their plans for the future.

Haywards Heath Town Council has a long history supporting the Yews and I was honoured to represent the Town at this event, together with three of our past Mayors of Haywards Heath, to demonstrate our ongoing support.

It was also delightful to meet and hear from Christopher Samuels about the history of the building, a former Victorian family home to his ancestors. I know this was a very special event for him too and I urge the community to support and make use of this great resource in our Town.”

The Yews Community Centre is a spacious, multi-purpose community building and is used by many local groups and organisations including the Mewes Vets, the Kangaroos, 4Sight, and the Mid Sussex Counselling Centre.
