NEWS - How we are doing: June 2020
Since our group started taking requests on 20th March, we have helped over 1000 households, with shopping, click and collect pick ups, picking up prescriptions and so many other small jobs that our vulnerable or self-isolating neighbours are unable to do themselves - A massive achievement - well done and a huge THANK YOU to all our volunteers that have helped so far. We are delighted that we have been able to help so many people in our community look forward to continuing to answer all calls for help.
Latest Project
Together with Haywards Heath Town Council and Age UK West Sussex Brighton and Hove, we have launched the Haywards Heath Emergency Food Hub. The ‘Emergency Food Hub’ will provide food to families that the Haywards Heath Foodbank cannot reach due to capacity, and those who find themselves (in the first instance) outside of the referral system.
WE REQUIRE EXTRA FUNDING to continue our good work - please see our funding section below on how we use this funding and how to donate.
Fundraising to support our Mutual Aid Group
We now have a
Go Fund Me page. We are hoping to raise as much funds as possible so that we can continue to provide the support that we do, for example running telephone lines for easy access to the community, helping the foodbank and people less fortunate and ensuring we can continue to deliver to those in need for the longer term whilst the Country is in lockdown. We thank you all for your support so far and if you are able to help us fundraise too that would be amazing. To find out more about us, visit the
Haywards Heath COVID19 Mutual Aid Facebook Page.
