Judging for South & South East in Bloom
Thursday, 10th July 2008

Judging for South & South East in Bloom will take place in Haywards Heath on 10th July. The two judges, Frank Mason and Peter Newman, will be arriving in the Town Hall at 10.30am. There will be a press call and presentation by the South & South East in Bloom committee and then they will depart on their tour in a car lent by Dinnages for the occasion. The car will be decorated with the South & South East in Bloom logo.

The tour will last 2 1/2 hours and will cover all of the wards in Haywards Heath. They will be looking at 5 categories:
- Floral Display
- Permanent Planting
- Biodiversity
- Local Environmental Quality
- Public Awareness.

Town Day
Saturday 13th September 2008
The Town Council will be staging Town Day in Victoria Park this year on 13th September. The event will start with a parade through the town at 1.30pm.

Then the fun will start in the park with a fair with sideshows and special attractions, charity stalls, a miniature railway, puppet show and events in the arena.

Then from 5pm until 8pm there will be live music followed by a free firework display which should end at approximately 8.30pm. There will be some food stalls, but you are most welcome to bring a picnic.
