Haywards Heath - CLAIR HALL

This hall was built in 1974 following the redevelopment of the former Community Hall in South Road. In 1997 it was extended and refurbished. The main hall has a large stage enabling shows of all types, both amateur and professional to be produced. The Haywards Heath Operatic Society puts on two shows a year and the Weald Theatre Group presents an annual pantomime every Christmas. Attached to the side of Clair Hall is the Age Concern Centre. Again this has been extended in recent years to accommodate the increasing number of elderly citizens in the town. The centre has fine views out over the adjoining park and cricket field.
