HAYWARDS HEATH COUNCILLOR COME TOGETHER TO SPRING CLEAN FOR THE TOWN’S JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS!

HHTC Councillors Sandy Ellis & Sujan Wickremarachi Litter Picking

Sandy & Sujan said jointly

As local councillors we know the best part of our role is the public-spirited side and we both thoroughly enjoy helping people. Although we often litter pick around the town, we thought this would be a good opportunity to clean some of the road name signs that are safely accessible. Haywards Heath is bursting with civic pride and the town will be showing this in the many events that are being held locally, including the Town Council’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons lighting event in Victoria Park on the evening of 2nd June and the open-air picnic/afternoon tea style event on Sunday 5th June where we are providing lots of fun entertainment to enjoy.

Haywards Heath town is always very clean thanks to the brilliant efforts of our Town Council grounds staff and Serco and the Town Council has recently replaced a large number of signs, carried out an audit of the street cleaning, signs and furniture, together with all the floral displays that help make our town a beautiful place to visit and live in.

Look out for us this weekend and say a big hello as we get this party started to mark Her Majesty’s 70-year reign! We are sure so many wonderful memories will be made and we wish everyone a fantastic Jubilee bank holiday weekend filled with fun.”
