Haywards Heath Mayor’s Drop-in Session: Residents turn out in force to share their views on the future of Clair Hall

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Haywards Heath were kept busy non-stop for 6 hours at the drop-in session at the Town Hall as residents queued up to share their views on the future of Clair Hall.

Town Mayor, Cllr Howard Mundin, comments:

“We were absolutely overwhelmed by the level of support for this community facility. It is very apparent that our residents are very passionate about Clair Hall and strongly support the Town Council’s approach to this. Both Haywards Heath Town Council and our residents want to see a strong future for Clair Hall as a destination and venue for this Town.

Alastair and I would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you who came along and shared your views on Clair Hall. Our response to this will be further discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the Town Council on the 2nd September 2021.

Please remember that the Town Council is a consultee not the consulter, so we also urge the community to get engaged with the Mid Sussex District Public Consultation on the future of Clair Hall, you have until 22 September to help shape the future of this facility for Haywards Heath. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved on the future of Clair Hall so please get involved at: https://engage.midsussex.gov.uk/clair-hall.”
